Examining in Ireland
TRISHA HAS JUST RETURNED FROM EXAMINING IN IRELAND
Another international examining trip and another country where our standards are being upheld. Trisha has just got back from Ireland, where she was out assessing practitioners against the same rigorous clinical benchmarks we hold every single student to here at LIA. No shortcuts, no leniency the same uncompromising standard regardless of where in the world the assessment takes place.
This is what it means to be a school led by active examiners. Our educators aren’t just teaching standards – they’re the ones setting and assessing them internationally.
Harley Street Laser Specialists
NIRA EXAMINING AT HARLEY STREET
Nira has just completed examining for laser specialists on Harley Street, one of the most prestigious and recognised addresses in the entire aesthetics industry. The practitioners working at the very top of the laser specialism are being assessed by our own LIA educator.
This is not something that happens by accident. It is a direct reflection of the level our team operates at, and it is exactly the kind of credibility that sets this school apart from other training providers out there.

This month, Nira travelled to Marbella to examine students at Marbella Beauty Academy as a CIBTAC International examiner.
Assessing on an international stage means working to the same high standards we uphold at LIA, ensuring consistency across countries and training environments.
It also keeps our teaching closely aligned with what’s expected in real assessment settings not just in theory, but in practice.
A significant moment for us, and something we’re incredibly proud of!
Trisha has just returned from Barbados, where she examined
students at Reflections Spa Institute and Nickel’s Beauty Institute as
a CIDESCO International examiner.
As a Level 7 Advanced Aesthetics practitioner, bringing a depth of
knowledge that comes from both clinical practice and assessing at
the highest level!
That level of involvement keeps our training grounded in what
actually matters. It’s not just about delivering content, but
understanding exactly what’s expected of practitioners in real world
settings.

FACIAL SKINCARE COURSES
Our facial skincare courses are designed for those starting out in aesthetics, as well as practitioners looking to strengthen and formalise their foundational knowledge.
These courses cover skin analysis, facial treatment techniques, product knowledge and client consultations, giving you a solid understanding of how to treat the skin safely and effectively.
Facial training is often overlooked, but it underpins everything in aesthetics. When you understand the skin properly, how it functions, how it responds, and how to assess it, it changes the way you approach every treatment. All course dates are below!

Trisha is in France this month working as a CIDESCO International examiner, assessing candidates to the same high standards we hold here at LIA.
Something not everyone realises is how different independent examining is compared to being assessed by your own training provider. When a provider is marking their own students, there can be pressure to pass. Independent examiners don’t have that – our role is simply to uphold the standard.
So when we say our students meet international standards, we genuinely mean it!
That’s what gives our graduates real credibility – and why their qualifications are recognised by insurers and employers.
CONGRATS TO OUR LEVEL 3 FACIAL ELECTROTHERAPY GROUP
A huge congratulations to our Level 3 Facial Electrotherapy group!
Watching this group progress has been incredible. From those first nervous treatments to now confidently working on real clients, handling real skin concerns and making decisions in the moment – the transformation has been amazing to see.
They’re no longer just following routines. They’re assessing, adapting, and truly understanding what they’re doing and why. That level of confidence doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from consistent, hands on practice and the right support throughout.
We’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved – and even more excited to see many of them now progressing on to Level 4!
JUNE VTCT SKILLS EVENT IS
This June, LIA will be hosting the VTCT Skills Higher Level Beauty Event – an exclusive professional development event focused on higher level beauty education.

This month marks a significant milestone for the

regulatory requirements.
This isn’t fear mongering it’s professional reality. The

We’re a few weeks into our Level 5 Laser Tattoo Removal course, and this group is
genuinely exceptional. The standard they’re already operating at is beyond impressive.
What’s stood out most is the way they’re handling the unpredictable realities of real clinic work. Things are moving on a global scale right now and it’s a big moment for us.
Trisha has just returned from examining in Sweden and is heading to France in two weeks. After that, it’s Barbados
and Trinidad. At the same time, Nira is travelling to Marbella to examine students there. Right now, we are operating
across multiple countries, and that’s not by chance.
High standards aren’t just taught here they’re examined on an international level. We’re the ones flying out,
stepping into clinics around the world, and assessing practitioners against the same clinical competency standards
whether that’s in the UK, across Europe or throughout the Caribbean.
It means the standards we teach aren’t just theoretical, they’re the same standards being upheld globally. It means
this school isn’t just participating in the industry, it’s actively shaping it.

This June, LIA will be hosting the VTCT Skills Higher Level Beauty Event – an exclusive professional development event focused on higher level beauty education.
The event has already SOLD OUT, with educators and industry professionals coming together to be part of the conversation around the future of aesthetics training.
Attendees will get early access to updates on new qualifications in development (Levels 4 to 7), take part in focus
group workshops and watch live demonstrations of advanced treatments delivered to VTCT Skills standards. This kind of collaboration is what moves the industry forward, ensuring qualifications remain rigorous, relevant and genuinely valued in practice.
